Bronx Botanical Gardens.1
Went to this NYC landmark greenery spot with the Boss one day. One of the iconic landmarks you go as a kid on a class trip, honestly I’d not been back since - and i have to say - it rocked - what a great place to spend the day. Exotic plant fare, fantastically manicured [...]

faces of NYC
faces tell alot about the world a person lives in..some faces are 10 miles of hard road and others are babes like, full of innocence and wonder.
In the workaday world in NYC, often the only break you get from your routine is if you “run down” for a smoke. I know that I looked forward to [...]

Brooklyn Invitational Bike Show
Pupkin & I hit the BIBS today…. love that, Bibs, anyway…..
We rode down from the great wild north for a dose of some severely urban scenery and probably pissed off like a half million people stuck in multi ton cages due to our lane splitting antics through some pretty good traffic on the blight ways and [...]

NYC style
This gent was showing consummate class slicing and dicing his way through NYC mid day blech. Watching him cut through the clutter was a bit unnerving - it was obvious no one around him saw him coming…I dont know, it always seemed so dangerous to me, being on a quiet, stealthy bike in a traffic [...]

Random images. NYC
More random images from my rambles through Manhattan. Grand entrances, mysterious/odd store fronts and the absolutely normal, as ingested every day seen through my lens. Hope you enjoy these utterly common and mundane images as much as I do….a celebration of our ecosystem.

Marios
I don’t even know where to start with Marios.. other than relaying that it is the iconic Italian Food Joint in the most iconic Italian neighborhhod in NYC, namely, Arthur Avenue, located in the borough of the Bronx.
The food is amazing, the ambiance, Mobster Guinea, the prices..a little silly. The best time to go is [...]

Homeless in NYC
While NYC has done its best to sweep homelessness out of the publics eye and the media has chosen not to focus any attention on it - it still sadly exists… Personally having been close to the edge at one time or another when i was younger - seeing this in the worlds greatest city [...]

9.11
9.11 has left some pretty deep wounds on my city, besides the obvious scars on the ground and the memorials. Everyone I know who was in town that day has a story, myself included

bugeye thing
Eyes wide open walking around the city you see some sweet street meat and then ya see specimen’s of hardship, gestated in the NYC petri dish.
Do you think this bike has seen love? coddling, a waxing and detailing or two, do you think it is a poodler?
I think this machine tells a story of hardship, [...]

he rules
Mister Squirrel is the toughest and wiliest of all animals in Manhattan. This fine specimen was giving me the hairy eyeball when i stopped to notice him. I mean, this squirrel had an attitude!
