The All-Star Travel Wallet/ Document Case

This is a travel wallet to hold travel/on the road documents and receipts. It has an unusual and unique stamped design.

It is thick and substantial, it is one of a kind and measures 8.5″x 4 5/8′. It’s designed to be able to slip a passport, plane tickets, license, receipts, maps and all the paper one accumulates – in one durable, hi-tone place.

Every single part of this durable piece is lined with pigskin, stitched, copper riveted and glued together, the snap hardware is brass.
This is an heirloom, you will pass down if it doesn’t get lost.

The wallet fits perfectly in a jeans back pocket, but it is big, OR a inner vest pocket or a suit. It fills the pocket entirely.
I slip mine into any case I am using: backpack, briefcase, saddlebag – rather than carry it on my person – but to each his own.

All my customers, suit and tie guys as do pilots, some in the military, use these!

One of your regular customers from AK wondering if you are/considering making any more of the travel wallets pictured in your recent posts? Getting ready to head out for a few months and it would be ideal for the travel. Once again, thank you for an awesome product! Andy

Now how can you NOT love a customer like this? Digging in further Andy wrote this…..

What I’m looking for is that travel wallet with the ability to hold cards, cash, foreign cash, receipts, possibly a passport, the kitchen sink, etc., and ability to slide into a flight suit pocket. Now that I have been as vague as possible, do you remember the dimensions/internal pocket setup to the one you passed on to Lisa Taylor or what the cost would be to remake said item? Andy

Ha! well I sure did – i make templates of everything i make and so came up with what you see below… a little bigger than Lisa’s unit and the insides have been changed up a bit to be able to handle all kinds of crap… i really like this piece and will make a few to stock in my store.

For all you folks that have GOT to have everything black – just look at how amazing leather looks when you DON’T drown it in black. In 3 years – this case will be amazing… if it were black, meh.

What used to be kind of an odd occurrence is happening more frequently: more of my customers are ordering sets of wallets, belts and pocket wallets.
This is cool for a few reasons the first being that it’s nice to apply a concept to more than one item, adapting the idea from wallet to belt or vice versa. I also like being able to dedicate a bunch of energy to one persons work… Please note that in this instance, Kevin supplied his own buckle and wallet chain.

Lisa Taylor, friend and SteveB Leatherworks customer was kind enough to send me pictures of a wallet that I gave to her about 2+ years ago. I’d been using it for 3-4 years as a travel wallet to hold travel/on the road documents and receipts. Lisa saw it when i was visiting and liked it and I wound up giving it to her and she’s been using it since then as a daily carry wallet – and it has taken a beating.

Looking at the images, it is clear that good quality leather that is tanned correctly, tooled correctly, dyed and constructed correctly can take a ton of abuse and still look great – maybe even better than when it was new. So much for folks wondering why things that are handmade with pride, cost more…but offer alot more value in the end – not to mention – show class.
