Known Associates

These are friends, supporters, people who provide quality services or make stuff I know to be of great quality. Let them know you found out about them here! These are in no particular order.

Fabricator Kevin
Kevin is the man to speak to if you need a problem mechanically solved. He is one crafty fabricator of steel stuff. He is also one of the nicest guys I know and will take the time to listen and not just talk. He made me a custom speedo mount for one of my bikes and it is slicker than eel shit!

Paul Levey / MarCom
Paul is the man to speak to when you need a web site hosted, a domain set up or any other e-service. I count him as family and love him to death. He is as reliable as the day is long and is one hell of a banjo player too. I mean - how can you not love a banjo player?

Justin Slingsby / American Greezer
Justin is a killer illustrator whose work and style I really dig. He is also a great guy who puts in the extra effort and is open to input a real rarity in this world of artistes. Justin is a workingman and pursues his craft in a very business like manner during his off time. He is the man responsible for my crossed mallets logo. Justin is cool, easy to work with and pretty damn funny just when you need a bit of humor.

Duane Ballard / Duane Ballard Custom Leather
You need a seat for your bike, see Duane. His work is great, his prices reasonable and his turnaround is impressive. What more could you ask for? Well, me personally? I asked him to fix the seat I butchered on my FXR and he did a fantastic job! Thanks Duane you rock! Duane is also a Rat Fink fiend and just may be up for a trade if you got da goods.

American Trash
The only bar I go to in NYC (due in great part to the fact that I drink for free and love MarkO, the owner). Going on 17 years, Trash is an institution on NYCs upper east side and has been consistently pissing off the neighbors for about exactly that long with its damn customers and their pesky moto-sickles. Heh, heh tough!!!

Skunkworx / Bruce Mullins
Bruce builds a bad bike the whole bike, including paint. I dig his flames and I dig him. I met Bruce in Sturgis 2004 and immediately liked him and his work. Check him out.

Indian Larry Legacy
I liked Larry as a person and I always connected with his style as a bike designer, stylist and builder. His crew is carrying on the bold tradition and I dig that too. Support NYCs last true chopper building crew.

Robert Pradke Jr. / Custom Auto Design
Robert is the real deal, a true honest to god painter who is an outstanding artist to boot. He has painted amongst his many projects, most all of Indian Larrys bikes. From low-slung chopped and channeled Mercs to shiny custom Softails - Robert is in his zone. I mean Robert is the shit, from white/orange flames with baby blue pinstripes to the most disturbing skull fests Robert is the best painter I know and one of the nicest guys I have ever met. No shit. You need paint you call Robert, nuff said

Andrew Rosa / Rosa Cycles
You got a Shovelhead that is acting like a trouble head? Call Andrew, he is the Doctor. As a matter of fact when I had to bring my FXR to get a little lift time and love (that I couldn't provide myself) I brought it to Andrew I trust him that much. He has a shop that rivals surgery theaters it is that clean, well organized and stocked. Andrew is the real deal, the last of the real bike mechanics at least in the Northeast. Him and his man little Kenny are stand-up guys give Rosas a honk when your bike needs some love.

Jason / Ironthread
Jason is a kick ass embroiderer. He owns his own company and works like a hot diggity dog to produce some slick, well produced embroidered goods. Jason is a rare commodity a reliable source for embroidery and is agreat guy. Jason also has big cojones, as he rides a Sportster as a touring bike no easy feat as Harley cognoscenti will attest.

Websticker
You need stickers? Call Jeff or Jay, they will hook you up.

King Cavalier / King of the Mountain
I am not big on hunting, but I am big on staying warm when I am outside in the Winter and I am big on buying the best I can afford. I am also very big on domestically made goods when they are better than import goods and King supplies just that his stuff is super tough, well made and American Made. King makes the best hardcore outdoor gear for people that spend a lot of time in the cold. If you do check him out.

Spragworks
Rich makes some cool industrial style buckles and jewelry, He's in Brooklyn and his work embodies the post industrial environment surrounding him... damn did I just write that??

Johnny Chop Industries
Chop has a bad attitude and that is one of the reasons I dig him! Yeah "loyal to no one", whatever! He has a far out sense of moto chop design and I dig his ideas - and even went so far as to pay for a set of his brass footpegs for the FXR from him. Frigging guy made me pay full freight too the mook... but hey... ya gotta love Chop! I don't know how much class he has, but I KNOW he has style.

Spritz by Fritz
Fritz is insane - any guy that can make his own Ed Roth Mysterion is cool in my book and Fritz is off the hook crazy. A great painter and a no BS guy - Fritz has paint and metal in his blood - and has a long history to back it up... you need da Spritz? Call da Fritz!

Wesco
Wesco makes the boots I wear every day. That alone should speak volumes about the fit, finish and quality... because I am one picky bastard in terms of boots. Wesco rules the roost when it comes to big black boots... and they make them custom to fit your tootsies... nicey nice.

Vanson
Vanson makes killer RIDING jacket for RIDERS. If your looking for an addition to your leather poser wardrobe look elsewhere cuz Vanson makes the shizznit for people who RIDE. Their stuff looks odd when you're off the bike, but there is nothing better or more comfy when you're ON your bike. I dig my perforated jacket, it is the single best piece of warm weather riding gear I own.

Arai Helmets
You're looking for a way to keep your bean in one piece in the insanity that is modern day traffic? Arai makes the best helmets around and I've tried quite a few on. I've never been a big fan of full-face helmets - but if ya gotta wear one - I suggest you wear an Arai. They aint cheap, but then what is your brain, personality and life worth? As they say - things aint the same after a traumatic brain injury... now are they?

Wickett & Craig
I buy all my vegetable tan leather from W&C. I tried using mystery meat leather cuz it is cheap and readily available from the mystery meat store - but it works like iron clad shit and smells bad too. I only use W&C leather now... it costs more - but then - your worth it!
