SoNo Crafts Festival.1
A local fair with some good stuff to it; music, lots of characters, beer, food and a laid back atmosphere. The kids crack me up, there is so much going on around them, they just kind of blank out…. funny expressions on their faces…lol.

lunchin’ at da Duck
Ya know what they did? They tried fecking up Freddy and mine favorite shot and a beer joint the Duck – by showcasing it on TV, yes they did – but they DID NOT succeed. Guy Fierie seems like a nice enough guy but when his “Diner, Dives & joints, whatever…” showcased one of my […]

Bill’s Drive -in
Bill’s is one of those places I love – homey, local, good food with a wry sense of humor and resignation. There is a place in Riceville, IA that i stopped at years ago on a bike trip heading back east that had a similar feel to Bill’s. Shank and I busted up to Bill’s not too […]

little league
It is a rite of passage for many kids. A horror for some… I am talking about Little League … here seen in Newton Massachusetts a town i was visiting in a few weeks back. A truer slice of American culture you’ll not see anywhere. This same scene plays out all across our great country, in each and every town – if you stop and look…

Botsford Hot Dogs
Along the lines of Swanky Frank’s I present for your hot diggity doggin pleasure – Botsford Hot Dogs. Good food, but no place to squat makes stopping here kind of an iffy proposition – unless the weather is good in which case you can sit at some of the picnic tables placed outside along the edge of the parking lot. The ambiance doesn’t do alot for […]

Overton’s
Arrgh! Ya want a hot dog in Southern Connecticut? You are not going to find a street meat cart to satisfy your craving, no no no…your going to need to identify a restaurant or deli (a hens tooth for sure round these parts) that’s got the goods. This poses a challenge to the newbie, unitiatied and those not in the general […]

co-minglers
Co-mingling and getting along…works. Here we’ve got a a prettied up Street Glide squatting next to a stealth black something-or-other Japanese rocket bike outside a local gym… both parked illegally on the sidewalk. Flashing a unified show of “i dont give a crap, I’ll park wherever i damn well please” and a bit o’ the dark black…on […]
